Victim said to be local model
By AsiaOne

According to information found on the website hosting the hijacked photos, the victim was alleged to be a local model while doing undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore.

It also mentioned that the victim had previously taken part in a local television gameshow.

The pictures posted on the site showed the victim in various states of undress. In several, she was seen performing sex acts on a man, whose face was not captured in the photo. The photos appeared to have been taken in a hotel room.

Some pictures showed the victim taking explicit pictures of herself in the mirror using a digital camera. From the background of the pictures, the images were likely captured in the bathroom.

According to the US-based site, the woman has made a police report. A copy of an email from an investigating officer from the Singapore Police Force to the sites webmaster requesting the pictures be taken down were also posted on the website in an updated post.

Other websites have also followed the development of the incident. Popular Singaporean blogger Alvinology also had a post regarding the authenticity of the images. The post was later removed.

No action will be taken by NUS, and the university has said that it will provide the victim with whatever support she needs. The victims family is also said to be managing the situation well.

Homemade pornography has a new name
By AsiaOne

Gadgets such as mobile phone cameras, handheld video recorders and digital cameras are easily available nowadays.

Recording digital media with these devices are also becoming increasingly easy, meaning that homemade pornography can be more easily produced, and more are made available online.

In fact, this trend is so widespread among youths that it even has its own name: "camwhoring".

While some pictures were not meant to be shared publicly, others were willing to put upload explicit pictures of themselves so that they will get more hits on their websites and gain popularity as a result. Such acts can backfire badly.

Like the NUS undergrad, a number of Singaporean women have found their explicit photos pop up in all the wrong places over the past year.

A search on the same US-based site where the NUS undergrads pictures were found turned up results of a model whose nude pictures were allegedly taken and posted without permission, as well as two teenage girls whose "camwhoring" photos were obtained from their personal websites and uploaded.

Dont upload every photo you take
By AsiaOne

You take pictures of your room, your house, your dog, your computer, your parents and even the neighbours. Then you put them all into carefully sorted galleries and put them all on your blog.

They might be a treat for friends wanting to catch up with you, but when pieced together, these pictures can also reveal a lot about your life.

Just the other week I figured out where my new online friend worked and lived, simply because she photo-blogged every picture she took with her handy mobile phone.

The bottom line: Dont want an online - or scarier, offline - stalker? Quit being a camwhore and stop posting those pictures online. If you still insist on doing so, make sure you check the back seat the next time you take the car out for a spin.

Sorry to say for someone whos so smart she is certainly very dumb. Look you take these pictures you run the risk as it is now. She should perhaps ask that person who took her picture. The damage has been done and I disagree that the source should be leaked at all. And I disagree that the pictures should be removed since it is now well propogated throughout the wonderful place called the world wide web. The lesson? Dont take these pictures in the first place.

To all of Zan supporters & frens out there: if you really wanna help her then i suggest you stop with all these threats...Mr. Gutter here has never been known to waver in the face of law suits or threats. If Edisons high powered lawyers cant even get him to take down those pics at the height of the scandal...wat makes u guys think u can...honestly just leave him alone and let all the viewers enjoy Zanettas body till a new scandal breaks out and all these will be over...in the mean time i m do sympathise with Zanetta right now as millions of people all over the world are probably wanking off her pics right now...but sorry u have to learnt it the hard way.....

http://www.gutteruncensored.com further elaborates on :

A "notorious" United States-based website, the Gutter Uncensored do not mind that notorious description. But no mention of her role on Singapores Deal Or No Deal season 2. Or any mention of her beautiful body. Anyhow, someone sent an email with the subject line "Assistance to remove posting" to GutterUncensored@yahoo.com on Thursday claiming to be a Singaporean police officer. Saying that Zanetta (victim) lodged a police report on the posted pictures and requesting the removal of the pictures. So I reply asking to see a copy of the lodged report, its been like 4 days now and I am still waiting. Here is what officer Riduan Wahid had to say in full:

I am requesting that the posting regarding Singapores Deal or No Deal Zanetta Joan Sit Leaked Love Pictures Sex Scandal which is posted on the cover page from the website, to be removed as the victim had lodged a police report on this matter.

I would also need your assistance to provide me with the full particulars of the person who posted this thread. Please provide his name, e-mail address and contact number that he had registered as a member.

If you have any queries, you may contact me at DID: 6557 3349 or via e-mail at Riduan_Wahid@spf.gov.sg

Thank You.

Now, we dont know if that is a real email from an officer at General Investigation Squad (GIS1) but it does seem to be from an official Singapore government email address and he wanted me to reply with info to it so we can assume it is legit. Surely everyone would want to see that police report and the complaint. Needless to say, we here at GutterUncensored.com do NOT share information of our sources to anyone. I personally respect the good work of police officers and Singaporean cops especially. Support the Singapore Police Force. But sources and/or contributors will not be revealed. People all over the world can contribute information/pictures/video to this blog knowing of the confidentiality. Anyway, later that day this email was also sent to GutterUncensored@yahoo.com from a Darius Sit:

Hi,

Please kindly remove your post on Zanetta Joan Sit immediately or legal action will be taken against you.

Thank you.

Clearly a pissed off relative (I think her brother or something) and we all can understand where he is coming from. There is no doubt these are the pictures of his love one. And with Singapore blogger Alvinology pointing out the mole on her left shoulder (post now removed) that I did not really take note of before, we know the pictures are real.
